Kathryn Doe is a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, where she oversees the Titanium Plasma Spray and Hydroxyapatite coating processes for orthopedic implants. She joined Orchid in 2021 as a manufacturing engineer and has continued to advance the manufacturing processes through continuous improvement and operational excellence projects. She has been involved in the medical device contract manufacturing field since 2018, having worked with a variety of medical products and customers. She joined SWE in 2019 and held a position as a Global Ambassador for Canada up until the end of FY24. In addition to her responsibilities with SWE, she is currently a Steering Committee member for the Women in Manufacturing ERG at Orchid.
Doe received her Masters of Engineering Management (2023) and Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering (2017) degrees from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She has completed the Women’s Leadership Program at the Yale School of Management and is currently completing her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (expected Dec 2024) with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In her spare time, you can find her on the golf course or at the hockey arena!
