MP Delisle is an Assistant Professor at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) where she teaches courses in Ocean Engineering and researches wave and beach groundwater interactions and the impacts sea level rise will have on coastal flooding. She holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
MP is passionate about empowering women in STEM and has been an active member of SWE for a decade, holding multiple leadership and mentorship roles at the collegiate and society levels. Prior to becoming a SWE Senator, MP was the FY23 & FY24 co-Lead for the Early Career Professionals Affinity Group, served as the FY23 Internal Programming Coordinator for the GradSWE Affinity Group, and was the FY21 & FY22 Graduate Director of the UCLA Collegiate Section. She was recognized for her leadership efforts and commitment to excellence with the 2023 SWE Outstanding Collegiate Member Award.
