Zul Kazeem

Ayomide Zul Kazeem is a second-year PhD student at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of CiviZul Kazeeml and Environmental Engineering. Her research focuses on enhancing infrastructure intelligence, resilience, and sustainability through Machine Learning and AI. She earned her undergraduate degree from Lagos State Polytechnic in Nigeria.

As a woman in engineering, Ayomide is deeply committed to being an advocate for gender equity in the field. Currently serving as a committee member of the Women in Academia at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), she was recently appointed as a Special Senator. In this role, she is dedicated to identifying and addressing the systematic barriers faced by female engineers in academia. Ayomide’s passion for this work stems from her desire to become a faculty member and pursue a career in research, and she believes that developing initiatives and strategies now will help her and others overcome challenges in the future.
