Susan McCullough is the senior director of total rewards for Realtor.com. An engineer by training, she spent more than 35 years in the engineering and construction industry, working on some of the most challenging energy projects for Bechtel in the 1980s and the 1990s in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida as a field engineer and planner. She then transitioned to enterprise roles in planning and human resources. She joined Realtor.com in 2020 to lead the company’s compensation and benefits organization.
McCullough has been a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout her career. She served as a diversity ally on construction sites across the U.S., supported Arizona State University in programs that reinforced diversity, and developed one of the first DEI programs for Bechtel. She also was a board liaison for the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering.
SWE has always held special importance for McCullough. She became a member in 1993 and has been engaged in local sections, mentoring women engineers and speaking to collegiate members on multiple campuses. She was a member of the SWE Corporate Partnership Council from 2006 through 2019. She has participated in SWE annual conferences, coordinating panels, speakers, tours, and networking events and interacting with students and peers. She looks forward to the next chapter in her service to SWE.
McCullough holds a Bachelor of Science in construction from Arizona State University and an executive certificate in strategy and organization from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
