SWE Sections & Affiliates
SWE currently has over 400 Collegiate and Professional Sections and 40 Affiliates across the United States. Outside of the United States, SWE has nearly 100 Collegiate and Professional Global Affiliates. Sections and Affiliates are a great way to get connected with SWE members, participate in events, and volunteer in leadership positions locally.
If you are a graduate student, learn more about SWE’s graduate student community or GradSWE, and find out if there are any GradSWE groups within your local University SWE Section.
Start a Section or Affiliate
Click here if you are interested in starting a Professional Section, Collegiate Section, or Collegiate Affiliate (formerly called Collegiate Interest Group) in the United States. If you are interested in starting an Affiliate outside of the United States, click here to find information on Global Affiliates.
SWE welcomes new Professional Sections, Collegiate Sections, and Affiliates and is very interested in helping each existing Section and Affiliate remain an active, significant organization on campus and in your area. If you do not see a SWE Section or Affiliate in your area or at your school and are interested in starting a Section Collegiate Affiliate, fill out this preliminary form and send it to membership@swe.org. We will then send you the appropriate application and put you in touch with a Leadership Coach.
