Four WE Local Conferences Postponed

WE Local Conference postponements due to COVID-19

Dear SWE Members, Friends and Partners,

In light of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) impacting communities worldwide, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has decided to postpone our WE Local Buffalo, Bengaluru, Des Moines and London conferences until 2021.

This was a difficult decision, but after consulting with members of our community, our partners and our board of directors, we believe it is the right thing to do. We determined the best way to protect the health and safety of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff is to postpone these events.

SWE is working with our venues to find the best available dates in spring 2021. More details about these efforts will be shared as they become available. For those who were already registered, please give us a few days to inform you of next steps.

We owe a sincere debt of gratitude to our advisory boards in India and Europe, local host committees in Buffalo and Des Moines, partners, SWE members and friends who put in so much time and effort to make these events a success. We will look forward to hosting everyone a year later when the safety and health risks associated with this virus have subsided.

Again, thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support. Please do not hesitate to contact us at hq@swe.org with any questions.

Best wishes and stay safe!
