Gaby Vasquez (she/her/hers) is a Geotechnical Engineer at Black Veatch. She supports geotechnical field investigations and foundation calculations for projects related to the power industry. Gaby graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
Gaby is excited to be serving another year as a SWE Senator. She joined SWE as a student at Texas Tech and served as the Community Service Officer, Treasurer, and Vice-President. Gaby has also served in Austin SWE as Vice-President and President. Outside of SWE, she serves as the secretary for the Women in Deep Foundation Committee for DFI (Deep Foundation Institute) and is the president and founder of G-I Austin chapter (Geo-Institute).
