Holly Teig

Board of Trustees, Treasurer

Holly Teig is a life member and Fellow of the Society of Women Engineers. Holly retired in 2020 from Caterpillar, Inc. after a 30 year career in Engineering and Global Supply Chain / Logistics Management. Holly was General Manager of Network Transformation, leading global systems and process transformation for the Caterpillar Aftermarket Parts network. This included managing the investments to modernize software and business processes across all supply chain functions from supply, distribution, financial, compliance and inventory management perspectives. Holly was instrumental in developing the long range supply chain strategy for parts distribution facilities in the US and Canada, ensuring new distribution centers were completed with the latest technology and existing sites upgraded. In 2005, she was honored to receive the inaugural SWE Emerging Leaders in Procurement/Logistics award for her accomplishments in this industry. Throughout her career, Holly especially enjoyed mentoring young engineers and serving on the Cat – SWE Advisory Council.

Holly holds a BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. Holly’s commitment to the mission of SWE began in college and has continued to the present. She was a founding member of the Central Illinois Section, serving many roles through the years, including Treasurer, Outreach chair and Historian. Holly chaired the Society Professional Development Grants committee and has served on the Leadership Coaching Committee. Most recently, she led the Society Finance Committee sub-team providing section support for financial questions.

Holly is active in her community as a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener, providing community garden education and support. When not in the gardens, Holly likes quilting, scrapbooking, reading and writing fiction. She and husband Randy love spending their free time outdoors hiking, golfing, skiing and traveling.
