Amber Kreceman

Amber Kreceman is a program manager in Department 22 for Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S), a Raytheon Technologies business. She leads a cross-functional team developing cutting-edge technology and is responsible for the execution, schedule, and cost of multimillion-dollar active and projected advanced radar strategic system programs and internal research and development (R&D) efforts.

Previously, Kreceman was the integrated product team leader (IPTL) of a DX-rated space program in the Raytheon Advanced Products Center. Before pivoting to program leadership, she served as staff executive and engineering operations manager for North Texas operations, working closely with senior leadership in engineering, operations, and program management to solve high-visibility technical issues for programs across Raytheon businesses.

Kreceman has been instrumental in capturing several strategic wins as a leader in technical baseline development. In 2019, she led a multimillion-dollar hardware effort to upgrade test equipment to meet cybersecurity requirements for the advanced targeting forward-looking infrared (ATFLIR) product line. Leveraging her scrum knowledge and collaborating across functions, she and her team completed the critical design three months ahead of schedule. In her time with ATFLIR, Kreceman managed the technical baseline and developing cost and schedule models for new development insertion, resulting in a large contract award to upgrade the ATFLIR system and ensuring continued service to U.S. Navy warfighters. Kreceman received Raytheon’s Individual Achievement Award for her technical contributions and leadership.

In 2020, she was promoted to principal mechanical engineer, while maintaining her IPTL duties, overseeing advanced radar programs and internal R&D efforts to provide quality, innovative products to the warfighters, faster. In 2021, she advanced to program manager, reporting directly to her government customers and RI&S leadership.

Kreceman has received numerous Raytheon awards for her program leadership; mentoring; and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She led execution of the inaugural virtual Raytheon Women’s Global Summit, an overwhelming success, with more than 3,000 global participants representing all the businesses of Raytheon Technologies in 2020 and 2021. Kreceman also co-developed a grassroots initiative, the Path to Engineering Fellow, in 2019 to improve representation of women and people of color in the engineering fellow pipeline and in leadership roles.

Kreceman attributes her success to SWE community members and mentors who continue to empower her. A SWE member since 2013, she was the FY22 executive vice president of the Dallas Section and co-lead for the Early Career Professionals Affinity Group. She also served extensively on a range of committees and in K-12 outreach.

She holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from The University of Tennessee.

Kreceman is a mom of two and wife to Bradley, a fellow engineer. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking spin classes, and serving in her local community.
