SWE Scholarships
SWE scholarships provide financial support to students pursuing degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Since 1951, the program has awarded millions to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership. With more than 330 scholarships awarded each year, SWE helps to reduce financial barriers and support continued success in STEM fields.
One Application, Endless Opportunities
SWE offers scholarships for students at different stages of their academic journey, including incoming first-year, undergraduate, and graduate students.
With a single application, students are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
Collegiate/Graduate Scholars
Open to undergraduates entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year and new or continuing graduate students
Now CLOSED for the 26-27 Academic Year
Emerging First Year Scholars
Open to students entering their first year of undergraduate study (including current high school seniors)
Now CLOSED for the 26-27 Academic Year
India Scholars
Open to students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in any year of study at select schools in India

Scholarships Offered by SWE
SWE’s Society-Selected scholarships are available to qualifying undergraduate and graduate students globally. This includes Emerging First Year, Collegiate/Graduate, and India Scholars programs. You can apply for these in the section above.
Scholarships Offered by SWE Sections
Section-Selected Scholarships are offered and managed by individual SWE collegiate or professional sections. These scholarships may be funded through endowed awards, corporate or organizational sponsorships, or section contributions. You must apply to each directly through the section for consideration.
