SWE Columbia River Section
Section Selected, Endowed Scholarships
SWE Columbia River was chartered in 1979. This professional section supports members in the metro area of Portland, OR. In 1996, legacy SWE Region J hosted the National Convention and Student Conference in Portland. SWE Columbia River utilized remaining fund from the conference endow a scholarship. In 2011, the Columbia River Section endowed its first scholarship. This scholarship was renamed to the Coral Jean Cotterell Achievement Scholarship in 2013. SWE Columbia River annually grants a merit-based scholarship named after the section. These scholarships are available for local undergraduate or graduate students who identify as female and are pursuing an engineering degree.
