SWE Chicago Regional Section Scholarships

SWE Chicago Regional Section Scholarship

The SWE Chicago Regional Section (SWE CRS) was established in 1952.  With over 700 members, SWE-CRS is one of the Society’s largest sections.  This professional section supports members in the Chicagoland area, including Rockford, NW Indiana, and as far south as Joliet.  SWE CRS has two SWE endowed, section selected scholarships.  One scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors who will be pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science.

In the summer of 2017, the SWE CRS established the Wendy Landwehr Memorial Scholarship. Wendy was a former president of SWE CRS. As one of Wendy’s passions within SWE was mentoring students, the scholarship is intended to keep her spirit alive.  The Wendy Landwehr Memorial Scholarship is selected by SWE CRS.  Undergraduate and graduate students in any major at Purdue University and University of Illinois – Chicago are encouraged to apply.
