The SWE Minnesota Section (SWE MN) was founded in 1980. The section supports women engineers living anywhere in the state of Minnesota. SWE MN awards both SWE endowed and corporate partnership scholarships. The SWE Minnesota Endowed Scholarship was endowed in 2005 and is awarded to upperclassmen, undergraduate students pursing an engineering degree at universities in Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
