SWENext Scholarship

SWENext LogoSWENext is a way for girls to become a part of the SWE engineering community before they enter college.  Students through the age of 18 can join for free and have access to programs, mentors, and resources that are designed to develop leadership skills and self-confidence to succeed in engineering and technology careers!  Although the SWENext program focuses on girls, all students are encouraged to get involved.  There are over 5,000 SWENext members, over 5,800 SWENext alumni, and over 350 SWENext clubs around the country.

The SWENext Scholarship was endowed in 2021 by Mary T. Zeis.  Mary is a SWE Life member and a SWE Fellow.  She has been a volunteer leader on the SWENext program since 2017 and was the first Chair of the SWENext Programs Committee in FY20.  Incoming college freshmen who have participated in SWENext and are planning to study engineering are eligible to apply.
