The SWE Early Career Professionals Affinity Group cordially invites you to our virtual event, “FY26 Monthly Professional Development Series: January” on Wednesday, January 28, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT. This month’s session features two insightful presentations focused on pursuing curiosity and supply chain insights.
Samantha Balistreri will speak on “Leveraging Curiosity: Building a Successful Career and a Healthy Network”. Samantha (she/her) is a Product Review Engineer at Boeing, supporting the 737 production line. She is a life-long aviation enthusiast who spends her days learning all there is to know about commercial airplanes and solving problems of all sizes to get those airplanes flying. Samantha graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2021 with a B.S. in Software Engineering and again in 2024 with a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. She is a former section Treasurer, Outstanding Collegiate Member Award recipient, and member of both the SWE Outreach and Finance committees. In her talk she will explain how she practices being curious in her career, the benefits, and how it has affected her relationships with colleagues.
Alisha Sharma Chapai will speak on “Why 3PL Matters: Streamlining Supply Chains at Scale”. Alisha is a Software Developer at CTDI, a global leader in engineering, repair, and logistics services, offering advanced 3PL solutions in managing telecom, cable, and consumer electronics supply chains, including forward/reverse logistics, warehousing, and technical operations. She contributes to building technology that supports reverse logistics, warehouse operations, and seamless inventory management, as well as repair and refurbishment services within the consumer electronics supply chain. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She has over 5 years of Software Development experience. She values lifelong learning and professional growth and is passionate about advocating for women’s education and health.
