Authentic Influence: Using Your Story to Build Relationships & Opportunities

Event Date:

April 15 @ 12:00 pm CDT

For many professionals, the idea of personal branding can feel uncomfortable or inauthentic. This session invites participants to reframe personal branding as something more genuine: telling a clear, honest story about who you are, what you value, and the impact you bring. Whether you are networking, exploring new opportunities, or preparing for a job interview, a well-crafted personal story can help you make meaningful connections and stand out in a crowded professional landscape.

The first hour of this experience is delivered as a live webinar, introducing key principles of authentic professional storytelling. Participants will explore the essential ingredients of a compelling narrative and a practical, six-step approach to connecting career highlights, strengths, and learning moments into a story that is real, relevant, and memorable. The webinar will also address how to tailor your story to different audiences and goals, with time for live audience Q&A.

This presentation offers 0.10 CEUs / 1.0 PDH. To receive CEU/PDH, the presentation must be viewed in its entirety in addition to completing the knowledge check with an 80%. This session is free for SWE members upon login.
