The SWE Early Career Professionals Affinity Group cordially invites you to our virtual event, “FY26 Monthly Professional Development Series: December” on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT. This month’s session brings together two inspiring speakers who will share valuable insights to help you shape your career path and elevate your professional growth.
Dr. Supriya Ketkar will speak on “Carving Your Niche in the Semiconductor Industry” and discuss why understanding these pathways can be beneficial for your career development. This session will focus on understanding which roles and responsibilities (R&Rs) in the semiconductor industry are still growing, what education and technical skill sets you can master for these roles, and how early career professionals can prepare themselves to pursue these opportunities more effectively. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of trends in the semiconductor industry and how they can position themselves for future opportunities.
Dr. Gozde Ustuner will follow with a presentation on “The Human Element: Mastering Soft Skills for Career Growth”. In this session, attendees will learn practical strategies to strengthen the interpersonal abilities that drive professional success. This session will help participants dive deeper into key topics such as effective communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership presence—giving them the tools they need to thrive in professional environments.
Both students and professionals are encouraged to attend!
