This month’s session features two insightful presentations focused on navigating early-career transitions and building leadership alongside technical skills.
Ezgi Yildirim will speak on transitioning between roles or industries. Her presentation will touch on the experience of moving from academia to industry, including the shift in workplace culture, and how those changes shape professional growth. She will also share her journey of transitioning within the industry: moving from a more technical role to a project management-focused position, offering key takeaways for engineers considering similar moves.
Fernanda Pimenta will follow with a presentation on how to build technical and leadership skills in parallel. From mentorship and public speaking to event coordination, team management, and engaging in student or professional societies, Fernanda will share actionable strategies to strengthen your dual competencies and become a well-rounded engineering professional.
