Ezgi Ozkaya will speak on “Plot Twist! How to Pivot Your Career Without Starting Over”. Ezgi’s career journey is anything but a straight line — from electrical design in a nuclear power plant to engineering leadership, and now to driving Lean culture across a global organization. In her talk, she will share how to navigate career changes with confidence, leverage the skills you already have, and turn unexpected turns into powerful growth opportunities. You’ll learn how to identify and highlight your transferable skills, practical steps to prepare for a career change without starting from zero, and how to reframe your career story to open new doors. Whether you’re a student exploring possibilities or a professional seeking your next move, this session will leave you with inspiration and the confidence to embrace your own career plot twists.
Elaine Schomburg-LaFleur will follow with a presentation on “Storytelling Your Value & Networking with Purpose”. In this session, you will learn how to confidently share your skills and experiences by framing them as stories that highlight your accomplishments and talents in a genuine way. You will also explore how to network with purpose by building authentic connections, making a positive impression, and creating relationships that can support you throughout your career. Whether you’re preparing to tell your story more effectively, aiming to expand your influence, or seeking guidance on purposeful networking, this session will equip you with the practical tools and confidence to take the next step toward your goals. Both students and professionals are encouraged to attend!
