The SWE Early Career Professionals Affinity Group cordially invites you to our upcoming virtual event, “WE25 Recap Part 2” on Tuesday, November 18, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT! Did you miss WE25? Join us for this session as we recap on ‘Increasing Success with Intergenerational Teams’ with Kathryn Wittek & Emma Koslow and ‘The Art of Design Review’ with Rebecca Lin. Kathryn and Emma will talk about how the workplace is more diverse than ever before, including now FIVE different generations working side-by-side. This age diversity brings a variety of different mindsets, skill sets, and communication styles. What kinds of challenges does this present? How do these differences affect our ability to work as a team effectively and have a productive work environment? This session will provide an overview of the various generations commonly found in the workplace, highlighting their unique characteristics, strengths, and the value each brings to the team. We will explore different communication styles, offering insights into how each generation gives and receives information. The discussion will also cover effective strategies for motivating individuals across the generational lines, fostering collaboration, and enhancing team morale. By understanding these dynamics, we can gain practical tools to create a more inclusive, engaging, and productive work environment. Rebecca will address ‘The Art of Design Review’ going over the basics of a design review, when they are used, and the toolkit an engineer needs to successfully conduct one. Participants will walk away with strategies to implement in their next design review to maximize the time of your team to bring your project to life!
Meeting details will be provided after completing the registration.
