What can Toy Story teach us about leadership and teamwork? It turns out that Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story gang have a lot to say that can inspire new ways of thinking about leadership, teamwork and accomplishing your goals. In this interactive session, we will take a closer look at what these iconic characters have said over the years. Whether it’s motivation, wisdom or practical advice, there are some great lessons we can all take away!
Liz Garypie, Owner of E.G. Insights, LLC, helps individuals and teams unlock their potential, navigate change and expand their impact through coaching focused on empowered growth and self-awareness. She is passionate about helping clients navigate career transitions, develop their skills and cultivate a deep sense of self-awareness to progress their careers and personal development. Prior to founding E.G. Insights, LLC, Liz was an Engineering and Program Management executive with over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Most recently, Liz served as Director, Engineering Transformation & Performance at Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company. As a corporate executive, Liz’s focus was on process and organizational development, systems integration, continuous improvement and building diverse, high-performing teams to solve large cross-functional challenges. Liz is also a Life Member of SWE and past president of SWE Hartford, and has been recognized with the Connecticut Technology Council’s Women of Innovation Award and SWE’s Emerging Leader Award.
