On March 18-19, 2026, SWE will host Congressional Outreach Days in Washington, D.C., for paid FY26 (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026) SWE members to engage with United States elected officials and their staff. Training will include a one-hour virtual session on March 4 and a half-day in-person training on March 18. The event will be held in-person and is limited to 150 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no virtual option. Interaction with elected officials at the United States Capitol and surrounding buildings is subject to congressionally mandated health and safety guidelines. All attendees must adhere to security protocols and screenings.
Pre-event training: SWE will host one virtual training session prior to the event on March 4. Information for this session will be provided after registration. Registrants from the same states will have the option to meet to organize for their meetings and assign roles during the virtual event and during the in-person workshop. The virtual training will be recorded for those unable to attend. Participation in this short pre-event is highly encouraged to learn about the issues SWE will be advocating for and to meet others from your state in advance of the in-person events.
