Deepa Krishnan

Deepa Krishnan is vice president of customer success for IBM Americas, where she leads a team of technical customer success managers in driving the deployment and adoption of IBM technology, including software and cloud solutions, across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
Previously, Krishnan served as vice president of worldwide services delivery at IBM Technology Expert Labs. Her global team of delivery specialists was responsible for the hands-on implementation of technical solutions for thousands of clients, helping them unlock value across IBM’s data and artificial intelligence, automation, security, and sustainability portfolios. Prior to this role, she served as vice president of hybrid cloud and digital platforms for IBM’s Worldwide Ecosystems, where she had executive oversight of the new digital experience for partners looking to create solutions on IBM’s open hybrid cloud platform.
In addition to her strong go-to-market experience in customer success, professional services, and ecosystems, Krishnan has extensive experience spanning mergers and acquisitions, user experience, product design, and development. IBM has recognized her for outstanding technical achievement and client engagement.
Over the years, Krishnan has mentored many rising technical women leaders globally, providing them with support and sponsorship. From her early days leading the Women in Technology, or WIT, subnet at IBM to her most recent role as executive sponsor for IBM’s Multicultural Women’s Initiative Business Resource Group, and her current role as an executive sponsor of IBM’s Women of Vision, Evolution and Network, or WOVEN, she has spent her career supporting the development of women. Previously, she served on the board of the Executive Women of Goizueta, an organization associated with the alumnae of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Krishnan is valued by her mentees for her nuanced understanding of geopolitics and business cultures, as well as her ability to bridge global perspectives with local realities, thereby best positioning women for success in their career goals. Her influence has grown, touching countless women worldwide.
An empathetic leader by example, Krishnan continues to serve as a role model for both technical excellence and personal resilience and is recognized as a “barrier breaker” for the next generation of women engineers. She volunteers for elementary school and college events that encourage girls and young women to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and leads mentoring programs at Emory University, her alma mater.
Krishnan earned a B.S. and an M.S. in computer science from the University of Florida and an MBA from Emory University. In her free time, she volunteers with nonprofit boards, supporting elementary and high schools, and serves as a volunteer speaker for leadership and local cultural events. Krishnan lives in Johns Creek, Georgia, with her husband and their three children.
