On Friday, 8 Nov. from 12:00-13:00 CET, we welcomed Bianca Scheffler, director of AI technology & solutions at KPMG Switzerland, as our guest expert. The session was hosted by Hamideh Ahmadloo, strategic sourcing manager at Sika.

Bianca Scheffler, Director of AI Technology & Solutions, KPMG

Bianca Scheffler is an experienced female leader in data, AI & technology with 18+ years of experience developing information, data and AI strategies across industries. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science and has held several roles in data, AI, analytics and technology.

She is currently leading the Center of Expertise for AI at KPMG. Prior to this, she helped Swiss Re, Zimmer, and KOMSA AG in various senior data & AI leader roles, supporting their ambitions to become data and technology enabled companies. Bianca’s professional expertise has been instrumental in developing successful data and tech strategies and promoting a culture of innovation with data and AI. 

She is also an active speaker and contributor in the broader AI and data community and enjoys coaching and mentoring young female talents and teaching kids data and digital skills. In her ambition for future data sovereignty, she embeds the defined Sustainable Developments Goals (SDG) and Inner Development Goals (IDG) into her work in order to help develop these skills within our society for the AI Era.

Hamideh Ahmadloo

Dr. Hamideh Ahmadloo, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Sika

Hamideh Ahmadloo is the Strategic Sourcing Manager at Sika. In her current position, Hamideh places a strong emphasis on navigating the dynamic landscape of global procurement opportunities. This allows her to strategically connect Sika's procurement team to empowered producers and shape sustainable and profitable outcomes via this active partnership.

Hamideh holds a PH.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from EPFL University in Switzerland. She possesses extensive professional experience spanning various technical and commercial roles in the chemical industry, including serving as an R&D innovation leader, technical sales manager, and global sourcing manager. Hamideh excels in providing leadership within cross-functional teams to attain strategic business objectives, such as the successful launch of new products, the establishment of robust business partnerships, and the pursuit of sustainable growth. She holds six sigma green belts certificate in management. She is also the author and inventor behind nine patents, with four having received granted status, one book chapter, and more than ten paper publications.

Hamideh continuously drives towards empowering women in business via internal company networks or external community supports for women in STEM. She is a strong inclusion and diversity champion and holds the title of Global Ambassador for the Society of Women Engineers since 2020.

Hamideh is a Swiss citizen, happily married, and the proud mother of two children.
