Emily Burnett is the Associate Director of Global Programs. Since joining SWE in January 2019, she has been responsible for cultivating SWE’s priority markets outside of the United States and implementing SWE’s global business plan. Emily oversees SWE’s growing member engagement worldwide, including the Global Ambassador and Affiliate Programs. She leads events and conferences outside of the United States that bring high-quality professional development and career growth opportunities to women in STEM.
Emily has a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from the University of Illinois and an M.S. in Public Service Management from DePaul University. She currently sits on the board of Youth Outlook, a Chicagoland nonprofit that provides services to LGBTQ+ youth and their families, friends, and communities.
