Erin Sawyer

Sawyer ErinErin Sawyer is a technology investor and global supply chain expert with over 15 years’ experience in automotive and electric vehicle technology. Currently, she is a Venture Partner at Volo Earth Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on investing in early-stage climate tech companies such as electricity, mobility, construction, and embodied carbon.

Prior to Volo Earth, Erin was Vice President of Supply Chain at Wrightspeed, a start-up developing electric powertrains for a variety of heavy-duty truck applications. Previously, Erin held roles in Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain at Tesla Motors, Ford Motor Company, Cummins, and Honeywell. Erin is an accomplished leader in non-profit organizations whose mission is aligned with encouraging young women to enter careers in STEM. Before being elected as a SWE Senator, Erin served as the SWENext awards leader and Invent It, Build It program coordinator. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation, Social Ventures Arizona, and Arizona-based non-profit Mother’s Grace.

Erin earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She also serves as a guest lecturer at Kellogg School of Management in Operations Strategy and Organizational Behavior.
