Nicola Mohan (she/her) serves as the Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at SWE. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Nicola migrated to the United States as an undocumented immigrant at the age of 3, a personal journey that fuels her ongoing advocacy for DEI&B initiatives.
Nicola’s professional trajectory commenced as an 11th-grade United States History teacher with Teach for America before transitioning seamlessly into the nonprofit sector and subsequently into the professional association space.
Her expertise spans program management, strategic thinking, and DEI&B. Possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo, a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University, and a Diversity and Inclusion for HR certificate from Cornell University, Nicola brings a comprehensive educational background to her impactful role at SWE.
In her free time, Nicola loves to hang out with her dog, Cannoli, try new restaurants, and binge-watch The Office.
