Fashion design: From paper to reality

Jaya Halepete Iyer, PhD, was inspired by her daughter’s obsession with space to create a clothing line that became Svaha USA. Responding to a flood of requests, Jaya expanded the brand to produce clothes for women who love both STEM and being feminine. The clothing line is so beloved by SWE members, that they added SWE Gears to their prints! In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Women in Academia Committee has invited Jaya to share her story with us.
