Elaine Reeves received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Art in Physics & Music from the University of St Thomas in St Paul, MN. While working at Microsoft, Elaine received her Master’s in Science Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and Dain began his studies in Computer Science.

Elaine joined SWE in 2001 as a charter member for the University of St Thomas and remained active in roles such as President Elect and President. Upon graduation she became involved in the Professional Development and Collegiate Advisor for the Minnesota section. When she moved to Seattle area, she remained active in the Pacific Northwest Section holding numerous section and region roles. She remains active in SWE in roles like the Secretary of the SWE Tucson section.

They reside in Milpitas, CA where Elaine is a Senior Product Engineer for Microsoft on the HoloLens program and Dain is a Quality Control Engineer for a financial institution.

Dain and Elaine knew that a part of their engineering legacy was their desire to create scholarships for engineering students to enable them to focus on their studies.
