ABOUT SWE MAGAZINE
SWE Magazine is the award-winning publication of the Society of Women Engineers. SWE delivers vital and relevant content that provides insight, analysis, and solutions to workplace issues and current events affecting women in the engineering and STEM disciplines. Reaching more than 47,000 members, stakeholders and supporters, the magazine provides authoritative information on the status of and challenges for women in engineering. SWE Magazine also recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of women engineers past and present across a broad range of fields. Our publishing cycle comprises two conventional print and digital issues along with three digital and print-on-demand issues.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as women engineers and leaders.
Awards & Recognition
SWE Magazine is not just a magazine for and about women in engineering fields. It is an award-winning publication, earning recognition from FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Awards and APEX, two of the leading international recognition programs in the publishing industry that honor excellence in editorial content and design across print and digital media. Since receiving its first APEX in 1997, SWE Magazine staff, designers, and contributing writers have earned accolades each year in news and feature writing, cover and page design, editorial concepts, podcasts, and more.
