Mentorship works in many ways. Traditionally thought of as experienced professionals guiding the next generation, today it often works the other way around! With the relentless pace of digitization, the next generation can provide vital fresh perspectives to their more established colleagues. Plus, peer to peer informal coaching provides a great support network for those at a similar career or life stage facing similar challenges whilst working in different organisations or different locations.
During this virtual session, which took place on 20 April 2023, panelists shared inspiring real-life cases of mentorship and SWE staff provided a quick demo on the SWE Mentor Network.
“We share SWE networking opportunities within our organisation. We already have several opportunities like traditional mentoring, reverse mentoring, cross company mentoring, etc. The SWE Mentor Network will be a positive addition for colleagues looking for intensive (1-2 weeks) and theme specific mentoring.”
